Inspiration.
“What does pain feel like?“ -Alan
Take Me With You is a beautifully written script that explores themes of pain, loss and the longing for connection. There’s a kind of tug-of-war between Jo and Alan’s life experiences and how they express their plight. I felt a strong need to express that duality to try and get both points of views across.

Process.
This film meant the world to me. And still does. It was my narrative debut as a director and I rehearsed for months with the actors, digging in to their characters, expressions and body language. Assembling a film is no easy task . We were fortunate to team up with Vanishing Angle and producer Robert Beadle who lended their immense experience and talent to the production. We met our cinematographer Garret Curtis in a strange and serendipitous way which resulted in constant late night coffees at the 101 cafe to chat about film aspirations, the universe and shots for the short. I really felt like the stars aligned on this project.
